How to Eradicate Mould with Inducoat Fungi

Big News Just Now

Fungal growth has been a significant issue in the UK recently, with several tragic cases making headlines.

Not only is it unsightly, but it can also pose health risks. For health, maintenance, and aesthetic reasons, it’s crucial to eliminate this problem as quickly as possible. Those with respiratory conditions should act quickly to prevent the fungi from worsening health or damaging property. Even if you’re in good health, dealing with it promptly is essential.

Over the years, we have tried various systems with limited success. However, in late 2021, we discovered Inducoat Fungi, a solution that stands out.

Unlike most anti-fungal paints, where the active ingredients leach into the air over time, Inducoat Fungi bonds the active components within the paint molecules, ensuring they remain effective for the entire lifespan of the paint. This system offers long-lasting protection without harmful chemicals.

Mould Eradication – How to Do It Yourself

If you prefer a DIY approach to removing fungal growth, follow these steps:

  1. Safety Precautions: Wear protective gear like gloves, goggles, and a mask to avoid contact with spores.
  2. Identify the Source: Determine the cause of the growth and address any underlying issues, like leaks or moisture. Fixing the dampness source is essential to prevent future issues.
  3. Prepare the Area: Clear the area by removing contaminated furniture or carpets. Protect nearby items with plastic sheets.
  4. Dry Brushing: Use a stiff-bristled brush to remove loose spores from the surface, reducing the spread during cleaning.
  5. Inducoat Cleaner: Dilute the cleaning solution in a 9:1 ratio. Apply it generously to the affected areas, then let it sit for 24 hours.
  6. Apply Anti-Fungal Paint: Prepare the surface and apply one coat of Inducoat Fungi. Allow it to dry before applying a second coat. This process ensures lasting protection.
  7. Dispose of Contaminated Materials: Seal and discard disposable cleaning materials to prevent further spread.
  8. Preventive Measures: Ensure good ventilation, control humidity, and address water leaks promptly. Consider using resistant paints for added protection.
